Chichi Seii
International Actress and Founder, Revail Arts Company
Chichi Seii is an internationally-recognized Kenyan actress, who is most widely known for her role in the popular Netflix series Sense8. Chichi rose to fame across Africa through a number of leading roles in prominent African movies and television, such as the critically acclaimed political satire “Oh-BAMA”. In addition to acting, she also currently teaches at the KESDA – School of Dramatic Arts in Kenya.
Deni Hines
International Singer
Deni Hines is one of Australia’s foremost entertainers. She began her career at the age of 15 and has since become internationally recognized for a number of Top 10 singles, including “That Word (L.O.V.E)” and “Ain’t No Sunshine” with The Rockmelons, as well as solo albums “Imagination” and “The Other Woman”. She has also starred in leading roles in musicals (“Dusty Springfield”, “Jesus Christ Superstar”) and television (“Celebrity Apprentice”, “Soul Kitchen”). Deni is also an Ambassador for Oasis Africa and has helped raised tens of thousands of dollars for the initiative.
Darryl Judd
Co-Founder, Hands Up Kenya & COO, Logistics Executive Group
Darryl has over 28 years of experience in executive leadership and consulting. Named one of the “Top 50 influential individuals in Asia’s Supply Chain, Manufacturing & Logistics industry” by SCM World, he is a frequent speaker at international conferences and events on business leadership, strategy, people alignment and talent management. In 2014, he was appointed as one of five global experts to IATA’s Global Innovation Award selection board and has held senior executive positions within the airline, air cargo and aircraft leasing industry. Since 2001, Darryl has been a principle partner in Logistics Executive Group, an internationally known corporate advisory and talent management firm with offices in 12 countries.
Linda Kawira
Founder, United Against Cancer
Linda is an inspiring community builder who grew up in a small village in Meru, a town in eastern Kenya. Her village, once as happy and calm as most areas in the greater Meru region, has seen an unprecedented rise in cancer cases and cancer-related deaths in recent decades. Linda, a two-time cancer survivor herself, has made it her life’s mission to know why. She is also a founder of a movement, United Against Cancer, which aims to create a support system for cancer patients and their families.

Israeli-Kenyan Musician
GILAD (Gilad Millo) is an Israeli-Kenyan award winning artists who is best known for his Swahili love songs.  Nick named 'King of Love' GILAD is a two time AFRIMA award winner bringing home to Kenya the Best Male in Inspirational Music & the Best Artiste in Afrcan Rock awards at the 2017 All Africa Music Awards held in Lagos, Nigeria. A former Israeli Diplomat & Corporate executive, GILAD became a full-time musician in 2015 after releasing his  debut single ‘Unajua’ ft Kenan diva Wendy Kimani. He has since released a full 16-track album entitled ‘ASANTE’. He has collaborated with artists such as Grammy Award Winner Miri Ben-Ari in addition to some of Kenya's biggest artists, recently crossing to Tanzania as well. GILAD has been selling out shows at some of Kenya’s most prestegios venues, performing alongside the biggest names in African music and has grown to be one of Kenya's leading artists.
Peter Labo
International Artist & Founder, Labo Management
Peter Ndung’u, also known as Labo, is an international touring drummer and percussionist, who has extensively performed internationally and collaborated with artists including Tony Benet, Green Day, Ben Fold, Canadian Tenors, Nelly Furtado, Joe Jonas, Hedley among others. He also performed for President Barrack Obama during his first inauguration in Washington DC in 2008. Peter is a founding member of the internationally acclaimed Kenyan Boys Choir. He also founded Labo Management, an Artist Management and Talent development company, and is also involved with numerous successful social endeavors, such as “Wings to Fly” and Coke Studio Africa. Peter also tours various international universities to give talks and workshops on African Music Culture and Drumming, while supporting numerous youth-centered talent development programs in his motherland, Kenya.
Munira Anyonge
Kenya Program Director, The Nature Conservancy
Munira Anyonge has more than 20 years of experience in wildlife conservation, community development and tourism. In addition to managing a wide portfolio of projects and activities for TNC, she is also actively involved with numerous local conservation agencies. Munira has also headed the community wildlife department at Kenya Wildlife Service. On Jamhuri Day in 2009, she was decorated by the President of Kenya for her contribution to community wildlife conservation. Munira is a passionate advocate for education and has a Master’s Degree in Tourism Administration and Management from the University of Poland.
Kimble Winter
Board Member, RightFit Global & Founder/Chairman, Oasis Africa
A keen team sportsman and ex-professional rugby player, Kim is a specialist in Humanitarian Supply Chains and advisor to numerous international project. He is also the Founder & Chairman of Oasis Africa, a not-for-profit that works with the local community to provide sustainable primary and secondary education, security and holistic support for over 1000 orphaned children in the notorious slum of Kibera in Nairobi, Kenya. Kim is also an acknowledged specialist in Executive Recruitment and Training and has held senior executive positions within international Logistics, Supply Chain and Freight organisations during his 35-year career.
Mary Njoki
Founder and CEO, Glass House PR
Mary Njoki is a 28 year old entrepreneur who uses innovation, thought leadership and her gift as a connector to help eliminate poverty. In 2012, at the age of 23, she founded Glass House PR, a unique venture that has since redefined the world of Public Relations in Africa. She founded Glass House PR on the values of entrepreneurial spirit, transparency, clear communication and integrity that remain at the core of the company's culture today. She has successfully trained SMEs like Rent a fine Car and Film Kenya Magazine to build their brand online, and also developed a program for digital Media training with specific modules for Corporate and SMEs in Africa. Today, her clients include the likes of Facebook and Viber in Africa. In 2014, she developed an entrepreneurship program and mentored aspiring entrepreneurs who are now business owners. She worked in the IT industry for 4 years and was a member of Business Networking International. She also volunteered for Kubamba company LTD for 4 years, where she was involved in PR and media activities before starting her company.
Geoffrey Nyaga
Co-Founder, Hands Up Kenya & COO, Astral-Aerial Solutions
Geoffrey Nyaga is recent graduate in aeronautical engineering with a keen interest in unmanned aircraft systems. He is the current Chief Operations Officer at Astral Aerial Solutions, a drone operator based in Kenya. Geoffrey, who is only 25 years old, is perhaps more famously known for winning the 2017 IATA Air Cargo Innovation Awards for the project titled “UAV Traffic Management Concept for Africa”. He shares an inspiring story from his upbringing from a remote village in Kenya, to building the first fixed wing drone in his country with his colleagues. He is currently on the forefront of promoting large cargo drones in various African countries. Furthermore, his dream is to safely manage all drones in the airspace using his drone traffic management idea designed with Africa in mind.
Daniel Moses
Photo Journalist & Former Finance Executive
Daniel began his career in Sydney, Australia as a finance executive at The Leasing Centre, an independently owned Asset Finance company. Over the course of two decades, he helped establish funding lines that provided over $800 million of funding to help Australian companies grow. He was appointed Director in 1999, and is now a non-executive Director of Classic Funding Group by way of merger in 2013. Daniel was also the Director and Vice President of Hakoah Club (a founding member of the Australian National Soccer League) from 2007 to 2016. Daniel has always had a passion for photography and in 2004, he started to dedicate more time to his craft and has since become a prominent international photo journalist with his own platform, 'Stories From The Lens'. Through his images, he explores compassion and human connections, enabling the viewer to read two stories - one of light today and the other of the life it has lived. His other engagements include being the Director and Chairman of Adele House Limited - Drug and Alcohol residential rehabilitation program since 1997.
Sheila Atieno Van de Graaf
Co-Founder / CEO of Youth & Success Association
Sheila is the co-founder of the National Youth Organization – Youth and Success Association (YASA) and the Chief Executive Officer, that has membership of 10,789 Youth across Kenya since its inception in December, 2014. She has over 9 years of experience in initiating, managing and developing programs targeting education (OVC), youth leadership and development, policy and women empowerment. Sheila has managed several programs and organizations in Kenya and across Africa. At 25, she was competitively selected to be the African Regional Coordinator (all Anglophone Countries) for an International Organization based in Geneva, Switzerland initiated by WHO. She held the post for two years and won a Global award for her exemplary performance. She has also widely travelled and is a prolific public speaker. She has also engaged with Barack Obama on Youth Empowerment and Leadership as a recipient of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders in Washington D.C. She was also the elected Networking Chair (YALI East Africa) Kenya. Sheila is very passionate about everything she does and believes in Positively impacting our societies.
Cyrus Onyiego
Country Manager, Jumia Travel Kenya
Cyrus Ondemo Onyiego is the Country Manager of Jumia Travel Kenya, Africa’s leading online booking company. By developing the company's business to increase profitability, the 29 year old graduate in Business Administration - specializing in Operations Management, has been a core player in steering the company to the top. He was part of the team that expanded the company across East and Southern Africa (RM and KAM). He also gained vast experience in the banking industry while serving as a banker with Co-operative Bank of Kenya, Nairobi. He has demonstrated vast knowledge of the E-Commerce industry, having represented the company in various platforms across the country and beyond, including media platforms such as CNBC and CGTV Africa. Cyrus, who has undeniably made his mark in the ranks of young leaders across Kenya and East Africa, provides training on a wide range of topics to tourism, hospitality, and travel players.
Collins Kipkoech Togom
Training Consultant & Youth Advocate
Collins has over 8 years of experience spearheading community empowerment initiatives and training programs in project management, community and resource mobilization and curriculum development, among a variety of other skills. He is a graduate of the Trainer of Trainers (T.O.T) program and specializes in Economic Empowerment, Leadership and Conflict Management. He has also founded several organizations, CBOs, Youth Groups and Youth Investment Groups. Collins has been widely recognized and awarded for his work by organizations including Daystar University, and is also the recipient of Shujaa Wa Ukarimu from Ukarimu Ministries. His programs are especially geared toward training African youth in Business and Entrepreurship as well as Agri-preneurship to be innovative and creative so as to create jobs and opportunities. Collins also serves as a Coordinator for A-Kili Foundation out of which he focuses on designing and implementing community empowerment programmes and initiatives.
Abdulaziz Hassan
Accounts Manager, Pathologists Lancet Kenya
Abdulaziz is an Accounts Manager at Pathologists Lancet Kenya. Having grown up in Kibra he saw the need to uplift the status of his fellow youth. He has been actively involved in several Community Projects over the years ever since he was at the University pursuing his undergraduate studies at Strathmore University from the year 2010. He was a founder member of the Nubian University Students Organization(NUSO). Abdulaziz is currently a Board Member Of HAIBA Foundation which is mainly involved in Education and Mentorship Projects amongst the Youth in Kibra.He is the Vice Chairman of Nubian Heritage and Information which is mainly involved in the preservation and promotion of the Nubian Culture while creating employment opportunities for the youth. He is also the Chairman of the Nubian Youth Council an organization whose main objective is to uplift the youth socially,economically and even spiritually while promoting good Governance amongst the Kibra Community.
Patricia Mutie
Director—Operations, Brazza Hospitality Group
Patricia has over 18 years of experience in hospitality. She has worked in Dubai for the last 12 years with reputable hotel chains such as The Fairmont and The Address hotels and Resorts. She has previously also worked with Kenya’s Block Hotels and Kenya Airways. Patricia has the reputation of being a passionate and fearless leader, known for her ability to empower teams, develop talent and groom individuals for success. She also holds a management MBA from Roehampton University.
Robert Munuku
Independent Visual Artist, Writer, Filmmaker & Founder, Mau Mau Collective.
Robert is an award-winning independent visual artist, writer and filmmaker from Nairobi, Kenya. Encouraged by his parents, he began visual art at only 5 years of age. He learned digital art in his 20s and fused the techniques with his previous preferred media (wood, paints, pencils, ink, etc.), before becoming a self-taught photographer and cinematographer. In 2014, Robert founded the Mau Mau Collective, an organization that is building a strong network of independent visual artists, filmmakers and performing artists in Africa with the shared goal of independence and art-driven, community-based creative education. More recently, the Collective has also become a means for Robert to unite creative individuals that aim to fill voids that were left gaping in the industry. This has led to multiple recent projects that include documentary making, music & feature film production. Robert is also the CEO of Mau Mau Arts, a Pan-African social enterprise that links artists in the fields of the visual arts, film and the performance arts to an international creative economy.
Violet Bomett
Co-Founder, Hands Up Kenya & Training Manager, Emirates Airlines
An aviation, hospitality and agricultural expert, Violet has over 20 years of experience in the service industry, hospitality management, learning and development and operations and facility management and has worked with international organization in the airline and hospitality industry both in Kenya and the UAE. She holds an MBA with a major in Human Resource Management from the Switzerland-based Swiss Management Academy.
Glyn Hughes
Global Head of Cargo, IATA
Glyn Hughes has been involved in Air Cargo for over 30 years, having started his career with British Caledonian in the UK. He joined IATA in 1991 and become the Global Head of Cargo in 2014. He has the overall responsibility to ensure IATA delivers on the agenda agreed by the Cargo Committee to support the Air Cargo industry. A firm believer in supporting the next generation of industry leaders, Glyn spends a large amount of time on outreach programs with training and other educational establishments.
Ruth Mwanzia
Founder of Koola Waters & Afribiz Academy
Ruth is a successful entrepreneur, public relations specialist and motivational speaker who has dedicated her life to creating impact and making a difference. Having grown up in the semi-arid Kitui County where water scarcity is a pertinent issue, Ruth became a Public Relations Specialist for the Kenya Water Climate and Resilience Project after obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communication and Media Studies from Africa Nazarene University. In 2014, she decided to address the issue head-first by founding her own bottled water company, Koola Waters, that uses a meticulous 7-stage filtration process to produce pure and safe drinking water. Her success as an entrepreneur led her to found another venture, Afribiz Academy, through which she provides training, motivation and mentorship to aspiring African entrepreneurs. Ruth has ambitious expansion plans for both her ventures, and is well on her way to achieving them as one of Kenya’s most promising young entrepreneurs.
Simon Engelbrecht

Simon is an accomplished techpreneur who, over the course of a career spanning more than 20 years, has co-founded a number of tech companies and developed advanced digital solutions for countless companies across the globe. He is currently the CEO & Founder of SKARP.DK, a digital software consulting agency based in Copenhagen. Simon’s passion for developing innovation solutions has also led him to take on a variety of mentorship roles, particularly as an advisor to start-ups, incubators and accelerators across Europe and East Africa. Simon currently also serves on the Advisory Board of Coldfront, a two-day international conference for front-end, mobile and interface developers that will be held in Copenhagen this year.
Jazeera Suwani

Jazeera Suwani is the Founder & CEO of Say It With Chocolate. Having practiced as a physiotherapist and fitness trainer for almost a decade in Kenya and Qatar, Jazeera stumbled into the world of chocolate-making when she decided to address the lack of options for chocolate lovers with dietary restrictions, such as lactose intolerance, which has made it difficult for her to enjoy chocolate her entire life. Initially dedicated to exclusively producing lactose-free and vegan artisan chocolate, Jazeera is now in the process of significantly expanding her operation to cater to rising demand from chocolate lovers of more eclectic tastes, especially as she opens her company’s first commercial kitchen towards the close of 2017. Jazeera credits her success to friends, family and business partners who believed in her and supported her through the initial stages of her start-up, and she is now ready to pass on that inspiration to aspiring African entrepreneurs with passion, ambition and determination.

Gabrielle Pool
International Artist
New Zealand born artist, Gabrielle Pool has been exhibiting since 1993. Her paintings and mixed media works have been exhibited in solo and group shows in New Zealand, Australia, Japan, China, the U.S., the U.K., Greece and the Bahamas. In 2007, Gabrielle was the subject of an hour-long TVNZ documentary about her career as an artist, in addition to a feature by National Geographic Australia. Gabrielle has also auctioned her paintings to raise funds for Oasis Africa.
